I like windows, but after owning a higher end laptop and what comes with it (short battery life, hot temps, etc etc) I want to move to macOS, due to how smooth everything usually goes and it usually just works, on my windows laptop I cant just close the lid and open it later because probably everything went to the shitter. Premiere would suffer a bit from timeline performance and mostly export/rendering solutions.

Plus, you could learn FCPX for simpler cuts, which would save you ots of time since FCPX is W A Y faster than premiere. The MBP will have the better display (brighter so great for outdoor use) and is way better regarding to thermals (not that they dont overheat, but since their ventilation systems are not on the bottom, you can place them pretty much anywhere).
For premiere pro on mac , is to and for windows what do i press portable#
I had to 'try' to get this up there in price that much and this one you could double the RAM and throw in a 2.5" drive and still be well under $2500 ĮDIT: The HP lost my config but I upgraded to i7, 32GB RAM, dual 256GB Turbo Z Drive PCI-e SSD, a 4GB Quadro video card, and it was still under $3500 - you see these open box models on eBay too for pretty cheap.įor portable solution it depends on the possible scenarios.

With a $3500 budget (I think mine was only $1500/newegg) you should be able to get a pretty top-of-the-line laptop. WD Black 2.5" 1TB in RAID 0 for just under 2TB usable storage). Some of the HP ZBook models have dual drive bays so you could run an M2 SSD and then stripe two more drives (e.g. It's actually a better fit for me anyway because my boot drive is a 256GB NVME SSD and I have a 1TB data drive - something I don't think you can do with a MacBook (you can do external but not internal). I really liked my MacBook but I could have bought two of what I have for the price of one MacBook. I switched from a MacBook Pro to an Asus gaming laptop about 6 months ago.
